First Petition Prayer

March 11 – Prayer
Father!  You are holy.  You are enthroned above all things.  You need nothing and need no petition asking that you be holy.

But you see my life.  You see how easily I am led astray.  Like a child who does not know better, I need you to teach me and instruct me.  Open my lips that my heart may declare your praise.  May your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path.  Only then will I be able to keep your name holy as it befits you.  Your name is forever praised among the hosts of heaven.  Grant me to join in their song of praise before you.  
 
To that end, grant me your Holy Spirit, that I may be tethered to Christ and be holy even as You are Holy.  Thank you for the sheer grace that you have called me by your holy saving name.  Through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
