Core Beliefs
We are a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. (For more on the LCMS, please visit their website).
This congregation acknowledges and accepts all the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the revealed Word of God, verbally inspired, and acknowledges and accepts all the Confessional writings of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, contained in the book of Concord of the year 1580, to be the true and genuine exposition of the doctrine of the Bible. These Confessional Writings are the three Ecumenical Creeds (Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian) and Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, Luther’s Large and Small Catechisms, and the Formula of Concord.
Our Beliefs
We believe in One God that is three persons (the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)
Scripture alone: The Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
(2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:105, Hebrews 4:12-14)
Grace Alone: God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:20-24, Acts 15:11)
Faith Alone: By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
(Acts 16:30-31, Romans 10:9-10, Matthew 19:25-26)
