Only Jesus
Only Jesus
“For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.” - Romans 11:36
There is a powerful song by Casting Crowns that has been playing on Christian radio lately. It is called, “Only Jesus.” I love the words because they remind me of what should be most important in my life. Here are just a few of the lyrics:
“Make it count, leave a mark, build a name for yourself, dream your dreams, chase your heart, above all else, make a name the world remembers…
All the kingdoms built, all the trophies won will crumble into dust when it’s said and done ‘cause all that really mattered…Was my life the proof that there is only One Whose Name will live forever? Jesus is the only Name to remember.”
Many of us spend a good portion of our lives seeking after good reputations, successful careers, abundant finances, and numerous achievements. Earthly accomplishments feel satisfying and provide temporary happiness but these things do not last forever.
There is only One whose Name will live forever. He is the One who created you to be the amazing person you are. He is One who loves you despite your flaws. He is the One who gave His life for you so that you could join Him in Heaven one day. His Name will never crumble or fade away. His Name…is Jesus. “For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:36
God’s Blessings,
Tammy
