The Belt of Truth: Psalm 10:1-11

Psalm 10 picks up where Psalm 9 left off. Where Psalm 9 portrays a confident assertion of God’s help and aid for the weak, Psalm 10 wails and moans that God often seems distant and absent now.
The verses that we consider today and gird ourselves with present the image of the tyrant who is confident in his arrogance. We see into his heart which acts as if there is no God and takes it out on God and men.
Hinted throughout our verses is that while it seems that God is high and far away that God’s judgment will work itself out and that the weak and humble need to wait for his action.
