The Belt of Truth: Psalm 55:1-11

Psalm 55 paints David’s heart in a state of anxiety and worry. He is faint and at a loss.
Why is David in such a state of mind when he faced so many threats and problems? Because this problem is not a threat on the outside, the threat he faces is a betrayal on the inside. Better to face the onslaught of an enemy then the knife in the back from a friend.
With these words, we see the pain that Jesus experienced when Judas betrayed him. The betrayal of Judas is expected and known by Christ, but that does not lessen the hurt and the pain by it.
But yet we see that when such moments arise, we put our faith and trust in God who orders all things for his good.
