The Belt of Truth: Psalm 27

Psalm 27 is a prayer of David that builds off of the confidence that God has given based on his character. Verse one establishes the confidence. The rest of the Psalm weaves its way through the myriad of struggles and adversaries who fail and Mount up in life.
By the end of the Psalm, David gives a retort and exhortation to us: “Can you imagine what would have happened to me if I had not believed that I would dwell in the land of the living?”
We are then given an admonition: wait for the Lord!
