The Belt of Truth: Psalm 9:1-12

Psalm 9 is often connected with Psalm 10 as a single psalm that is broken up into two Psalms.
Psalm 9 praises God with their whole being, and we see this reflected in the fact that the Psalm uses many different voices and tones to reflect God’s salvation.
The Psalm begins with a bedrock of confidence in God’s action and the end result of evil and wickedness. This allows the space then for a lament in the back half of the Psalm where the cry for God to act takes shape.
