Is it appropriate for a nurse or physician to baptize an infant in a critical situation? There were some situations where an infant (most often when very premature) had such a weak heart beat and I/we would baptize. We did call the chaplain if time and situation would allow.

I thought some people I recently met were evangelical, but they corrected me and explained they are nondenominational. What is the difference? They also believed baptism had to be by immersion. Many LCMS churches have “evangelical” in their name.
